We’re Rainbow Tick Accredited!
Spaceworks is ecstatic yet humbled to have received Rainbow Tick accreditation.
CEO Lizzi Whaley says, ‘Receiving this accreditation is a celebration for our wider team who have embraced the learnings and expert guidance of the Rainbow Tick team.’
She says the process was an eye-opening deep dive on how Spaceworks could improve as a business in meeting one its core values – diversity and inclusivity.
The Rainbow Tick Accreditation is a certification mark awarded to organisations that complete a diversity and inclusion certification process.
It’s an intensive and customised process that looks at all parts of the business – from governance, HR policies and organisational development to monitoring and staff engagement – to ensure it’s a workplace that understands, welcomes and values sexual and gender diversity.
By earning a Rainbow Tick, Spaceworks can now show its team, customers and the wider world that it is a supportive work environment that wants to be part of an inclusive community.
Lizzi says, ‘We will use the Rainbow Tick evaluation processes to look at further diversities, including race and age, to ensure everyone feels supported and accepted. This will benefit both individuals and the company culture.’
To honour the importance of the accreditation, Spaceworks has installed a rainbow column in its office, inspired by the Progress Pride flag and with a Rainbow Tick logo sign.
Unfortunately, a team celebration in full colour Spaceworks style will have to wait until after lockdown!
