A space to showcase product, inspire and wow customers.

This dynamic retail space is found in Parnell based Home Ideas Centre; a place where both residential and commercial clients can view products in a more tactile and engaging way.

New Zealand Steel is a leading manufacturer of quality steel. And whilst they supply into all major markets including construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, packaging and agriculture, this retail experience is targeted specifically at smaller scale Commercial and Residential clients.

Our brief was to create a space that showcased the product but more importantly that it brought wow and inspiration. We were to use it in a way that attracted attention; that made it stand out and required visitors to take notice.

As this range of products are used both on horizontal and vertical surfaces we felt the way to execute this was to build a feature element that incorporated both. The 3 strip feature acts as a space divider creating a more private presentation space beneath it. It provides a showcase of the 3 main steel profiles. The meeting area it creates is a more intimate space to view colours, videos about the product and to meet with a representative around your requirements.

Along the perimeter of the space we put steel panels that are lightly mounted to the wall and the floor. This design is to emulate the lightness of the product. A key feature of these panels is that you rotate them to see alternative colour choices.

This space has a variety of signage messaging and images aimed to inform and inspire visitors. It is coupled with material colour boards to show the product in a proposed design application.

This space is dynamic colourful and a great representation of the breadth of product available from NZ Steel. Definitely worth a visit.
