Unleash – University of Auckland

Three interconnected spaces provide a vibrant, welcoming environment with the tools, support and inspiration to unleash your potential.

Our second project for the Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at the University of Auckland, the Unleash space is designed for big ideas. The ‘Maker Space’ holds state of the art equipment and technology so anyone can create to their heart’s content. The flexible ‘Collide Space’ is where you can work on ideas and projects, meet with your team, brainstorm, or simply sit and think. And the ‘Inspire Space’ is where inspiring and motivating events, workshops and seminars are held. 

The three spaces are filled with exciting details: custom steel joinery and mesh; artificial turf, bright carpet tiles and planter boxes to break up space; doors painted in chalkboard paint so their use can be easily identified and changed; walls are painted with a whiteboard paint so notes to be taken. Other features include moveable whiteboards and AV equipment, charging stations for everyone’s devices, a mini kitchen for tea and coffee, and a large welcoming entrance wall where students can place a polaroid portrait when they join.
