Farewell Bradley Keys

A Conscious Uncoupling – Farewelling Brad, But Not Goodbye

By Lizzi Whaley

This past week marked Brad’s last day with Spaceworks, and it’s fair to say it was a week of mixed emotions. In the words of Gwyneth and Chris, we have consciously uncoupled. It feels strange to write those words because our working relationship has been one of the most rewarding and challenging partnerships of my career.

For over 8 years, Brad has been a sounding board, my co-conspirator, and someone who never hesitated to challenge me (even when I didn’t want to hear it!). At times, we felt like siblings bickering, and at other times, like old mates weathering life’s highs and lows together. We’ve celebrated wins, navigated a fair share of tough calls, and, most recently, I had the privilege of officiating his wedding to Mandy.

But, as is the nature of life, sometimes paths diverge. While we both recognised this was the right moment for change, it doesn’t make it any easier to step into a new chapter without someone who’s been there through so much. That said, this isn’t goodbye—just a shift. Brad is now a trusted supply partner, and I have no doubt we’ll continue to cross paths and create amazing things together, albeit in a different way.

I’m incredibly grateful for all the moments we’ve shared—cheeky banter, hard decisions, big dreams—and for the impact Brad has had on Spaceworks and on me personally.

To Brad: thank you. Here’s to the next chapter—for both of us.
